My husband and I decided that we wanted to update our deck to have a modern cable railing...our house is very "treehouse" like, sitting high up in the words and the new cable railing really opens up the view. The guys striped the deck of its old paint and got started on taking down the old railings--they actually added an extra 6" around the perimeter of the deck to serve as a better support for the new posts that were put in and what a difference! Johnny and Robert, who worked together on the labor intensive deck, are truly artists.....cutting perfect curves into areas of the railing where we have a large boulder in our yard and using their creativity to further enforce our deck--talk about attention to detail! Its really hard to believe that we're living in the same house and thanks to Rome, there was never a time when I felt stressed or pressured to make a decision. I can't forget to mention that Rome is very reasonable when it came to giving us a quote for the entirety the work we had done, we were VERY pleasantly surprised!!
My husband and I hired Rome and his crew to paint the exterior of our home and we couldn't be happier with the finished product! We purchased a Contemporary style home that was built in 1985 and what was once a gloomy, sad shade of a blue/grey, in desperate need of a facelift. Now, this house really feels like a "new" home (complete with an updated deck...read on for more)!

Over time, a home exterior is bound to require a fresh coat paint. There are lots of considerations when it comes to estimating the cost of an exterior paint job: the number of square feet to be covered, the level of complexity involved in terms of decorative details to work around, the type of paint you want to use, and whether your home will require one or two coats of paint are all key factors.

We had some electrical wires pulled: a few outlets, three ceiling fans and 8 recessed down lights and all the switches. we had to patch after the electricians. The areas were not huge, but definitely complicated. Three types of wall/ceiling conditions: plaster, drywall and masonry walls. Nua was quick to respond and evaluate the project. Timing estimate was very accurate. Level of care and finish quality was exceptional. Craftsman quality not handyman. Would definitely contact for future projects.See more
If you’re considering adding fresh paint to the exterior of your home or garage, don’t worry about vinyl siding: it can be painted! Be sure to start with clean, dry siding (this may require pressure washing and good weather). Or, you can wash the siding with soap and water instead. But the main thing is to start with a clean, dry surface so the paint won’t peel. Be sure to select a color for the paint that’s not darker than the existing vinyl color: a darker shade will allow the siding to heat up more than it was designed to withstand.

If you're thinking about selling your home, you might want to repaint areas that look especially worn, dull or chipped so your house looks fresh and new to potential buyers. On the other hand, it’s possible some potential buyers will repaint the home upon moving in. So if you have a limited budget, your money (and time) might be better invested in other types of home projects, such as remodeling your bathroom or kitchen, installing new floors or fixing broken appliances.
